About Virtual Vahana'26
Virtual Vahana 2026 is a simulator-based engineering competition designed to provide B.Tech undergraduate and postgraduate students with hands-on exposure to Assisted Driving Systems and emerging self-driving technologies in a safe, virtual environment. The event focuses on developing safety-first thinking, understanding real-world vehicle behavior, and designing intelligent driver-assistance features that operate with the human driver in the loop.
Participants will design, implement, and demonstrate multiple Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functionalities on a manually driven virtual vehicle using industry-relevant simulation tools and realistic driving scenarios. The competition emphasizes responsible automation, feature interaction, decision-making under safety constraints, and effective Human–Machine Interface (HMI) design for driver awareness and trust.
The competition encourages interdisciplinary collaboration across mechanical, electronics, control, and computing domains, enabling participants to gain practical exposure to ADAS engineering workflows, system integration, and industry evaluation practices. Virtual Vahana 2026 aims to bridge academic learning with real-world assisted driving system design, preparing students for careers in intelligent and sustainable mobility systems.
